RONNIE JAMES DIO: Tour With DEEP PURPLE And THE SCORPIONS Will Be Great
May 29, 2002DIO mainman and namesake Ronnie James Dio is anxiously awaiting Friday's (May 31st) launch of his group's summer tour with DEEP PURPLE and THE SCORPIONS. "It's a great bill. It's a real classy bill--I think that's what I like about it the best. We wouldn't have taken unless we felt it was that. We'll defer to the legend of the other two bands as well, but we're not exactly chopped meat ourselves. It's a wonderful package with a lot of legendary songs gonna be played. I think people are going to be sitting out there time after time going, 'Wow, I forgot about that one! Oh, wow, whoa.' It'll probably happen throughout the whole show, so musically it should be great, and I think it's going to be a very pleasing show to everyone."
DIO will be on the road promoting their latest release, entitled Killing The Dragon.
